A new exhibition featuring the Seiko Astronomical Observatory Chronometer

2022.10.07

The Seiko Museum Ginza is pleased to announce that, starting on Tuesday, 11 October 2022, a new exhibition featuring the Seiko Astronomical Observatory Chronometer will be open to the public on the fourth floor of the Museum.

The Seiko Astronomical Observatory Chronometer was sold with a movement that had satisfied the strict 45-day Neuchâtel Observatory Chronometer standard. It was almost unprecedented for a wristwatch with a regular production movement to pass this most demanding of accuracy tests.

The exhibition features one of the only 73 "Astronomical Observatory Chronometers" that Seiko released in 1969.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Seiko Museum Ginza to see this rare and important timepiece.
