Special Exhibition Announcement: “The Japanese and Time”

2025.05.28

We are pleased to announce a special exhibition themed “The Japanese and Time”, opening on June 3.

Exhibition Period: June 3 (Tue) – July 13 (Sun), 2025
Venue: Seiko Museum Ginza, B1 Exhibition Floor

Modern Japanese people are often known for their punctuality and precision with time. However, this was not always the case. In earlier times, the Japanese perception of time was quite different. This exhibition explores how the Japanese relationship with time has evolved throughout history. Through historical episodes and the development and spread of timekeeping devices, we invite you to discover how time consciousness in Japan has changed over the ages.

In addition, on Sunday, June 22, we will host a special commemorative lecture by Director Inoue of the Akashi Municipal Planetarium.
