The brass side panels are finely engraved by the hairline engraving technique. Equipped with a 60 ken dial and a 10 ri dial on the surface and a 36 cho dial on the back side, the watch can measure walking distances of up to 10 ri (= 39.27km). The watch can be calibrated to the walking stride of the user by changing the position of the screw hole on the surface to adjust the swaying of the weight inside.
