When Seiko was appointed as the official timer at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the company built a whole new generation of timing equipment that set a new standard and its successful use at the Games gave Seiko a new global profile. Since the milestone event, SEIKO has continuously developed new timing devices and systems that have been used at five other Olympic Games , fifteen World Championships in Athletics and many other international sports events. Visitors can experience the timing systems, just as the athletes do, using a swimminng touch pad and an athletics starting block.
